O'Mahony Interiors has been on Bridge Street in Enniskeane for over forty years. We have our own workroom, our own curtain makers and our own fitting vans, and we work across West Cork and Munster.
History
Over Forty Years on Bridge Street
The shop has been in the same place in Enniskeane for more than forty years, which in this trade is most of a working life.
In that time the work has gone into houses, hotels, restaurants, offices and show houses around Munster. Long enough that we now do second and third rooms for people whose first curtains we made when they moved in.
Workroom
The Workroom and the People in It
We have our own workroom, and that is the thing that makes this different from a place that only sells.
Our curtain makers have years behind them and they make specialised window dressings, bedspreads, bed heads, cushions and blinds. Specific treatments go to the workroom set up for them, which is why the finish holds up. If you want something that does not exist in a catalogue, there are people who can work out how to make it.
Fitters
Our Own Fitters and Our Own Vans
We run a fleet of vehicles with our own fitters, who measure and fit in homes and businesses.
The person who takes the measurements is the person who hangs the job, so nothing is lost between a subcontractor and a supplier. If something is not right, one phone call sorts it.
Stock
The Fabric Houses We Carry
Sanderson, Colefax and Fowler, Designers Guild, Romo, Zoffany, Harlequin, Nina Campbell, Osbourne and Little, Jane Churchill, James Hare silks and Villa Nova.
On the hardware side we hold one of the largest ranges of poles and rails in Ireland, from Silent Gliss and Integra to Byron and Byron. Everything we make and fit is set out on the services page.
Commercial
Commercial Work Around Munster
We have long-running relationships with some of Ireland's best builders and developers, and our work is in show houses and apartments in new developments around the country.
Hotels, restaurants and offices are a steady part of the year. That side of the business is where the design service and the workroom get used hardest.
